Using Internal Family Systems (IFS) in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy
This is a live webinar.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is at the forefront of a paradigm shift in the landscape of mental health treatment, particularly in the realm of psychedelic-assisted therapy. As the field continues to evolve, it’s becoming increasingly evident that the integration of IFS principles holds immense potential for optimizing therapeutic outcomes and ensuring the safety and well-being of clients. Led by a clinician trained in both IFS and psychedelic therapy, this talk offers a unique opportunity to explore the synergies between these two modalities. Attendees will learn how IFS principles and techniques can equip one with valuable insights to facilitate more effective healing and integration.
Learning Objectives:
As a result of engaging in the presentation, attendees should be able to:
Explain the concept of the "Self" as the core, compassionate, and undamaged aspect of each individual.
Identify the role of a facilitator in recognizing, engaging with, and integrating different parts that may emerge during psychedelic therapy sessions.
Identify the ethical considerations and safety protocols critical for incorporating IFS principles into psychedelic-assisted therapy.
